Prostate Cancer - Overview

Prostate cancer is generally a slow-growing disease that is diagnosed in men. This treatment is recommended usually for men who have the prostate gland attacked by cancer cells. These cells sometimes spread outside the prostate into nearby or distant parts of the body which can continue to multiply in an uncontrolled way.   • A biopsy, or the removal of 12 to 14 small pieces of tissue from several areas of the prostate for examination under a microscope

These tests will help confirm the stage of cancer, whether it has spread, and what treatment is appropriate.
