• He has an experience of over 39 +years and has performed one of the largest personal series of PCNL in North India which is nearly 4000 and 300 renal transplants.
• Dr Kotwal did his M.B.B.S. from Grant Medical College, Bombay University & M.S. (Gen. Surgery) from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. Following which he did his M.Ch. (Urology) from the renowned All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi.
• He has pioneered microsurgery in the Armed Forces and has an immense experience of Uro-Oncology and Pediatric Urology.
• Dr Kotwal has performed several complicated genito-urinary reconstructive operations including the very recent ‘sex change’ or ‘sex reassignment’ surgery.
• He has got the privilege to conduct various successful operative workshops all over the country.
